What is RootWave Pro treatment?
RootWave Pro is an electrical weed control system that destroys invasive plants using a high-frequency electrical current. The current travels through the plant into the root system, killing it without the need for chemical herbicides.
Does RootWave Pro kill Japanese Knotweed?
RootWave Pro technology is highly effective at treating invasive plants including Japanese Knotweed by destroying the plant at its root system rather than simply damaging the leaves. Over repeated treatments, laid out in a KMP (Knotweed Management Plan) it disrupts the plant at a cellular level, inhibiting it’s chances of regrowth.
Is electrical weed treatment safe?
Yes. RootWave treatment targets individual plants and does not contaminate surrounding soil, water, or wildlife habitats, making it a more environmentally responsible solution than chemical herbicides.
How long does treatment take?
Treatment time depends on the size of the infestation. We do recommend multiple treatments across the growing season.
